Shinobu Sengoku is like. a boy ever. For me, those "About"/"Who is that character" sections are usually the hardest to write - how am i even supposed to put months of rotating them in my head in every direction into a couple of paragraphs of text. So I won't do that, and instead I'll try to show what other characters have to say about Shinobun.

I will be so real. I have no idea why someone could not love Shinobun.
I am consistently finding myself very fond of chuuni-ish characters, - mostly becasue to me they represent a pure and unbridled passion for something even in the face of public misunderstanding, - so it was easy for me to find Shinobu endearing. I love how open and unashamed he is about his love for ninjas, how he does not compromise on who he is. And the longer I've been reading stories with Shinobu, the more and more I found him admirable. For Shinobu, often struggling with anxiety around strangers and not being able to connect with "normal" people easily, his self-assigned role of a ninja came to be as a way of coping. Ninjas don't struggle with being lonely, they are solitary warriors; they don't hide away in fear of other people, they conceal themselves in shadows and observe from the side. Shinobu is not a shy anxious kid, afraid of not being accepted for who he is, Shinobu is a brave ninja who stays alone as a choice.
But no matter how scary, how hard a step out of the shadows, it is also a necessary one. And this is why Shinobu solidified himself as one of my favorite-est characters in Enstars, if not ever - he takes that step. He is not the lonely boy with no friends he was before attending Yumenosaki. He has his unitmates, who appreciate him and his kindness, his passion and his hard-working nature. He has friends who love him for who he is and don't need him to sacrifice his interests or personality for that. He has classmates and Cirle-mates and even a fellow member of his Ninja Assosiation (o/ haii to Mayoi. Can you tell I'm very invested in Mayoi and Shinobu dynamic. Bc i am). To quote the guy himself, Yellow flames are the proof of hope! A lone miracle illuminating the darkness! Shinobu is timid and shy, but he also is a light for everyone around him (and for me).
What I mean is, Shinobun is literally autism greatest warrior. And he literally has pet frogs. Pet frogs! They are named Peachy and Thunder!!!
Or, eh, coming. At some point. Once I get to it. Look at broadcaster Shinobun instead for now, isn't he sooo cute. Such a hard worker :3c
